What do you guys think of the mockup I made and the idea of an internet-based native installation program, using the 1 click features.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08972808216546510969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31633408.post-30232714173463990592010-08-09T10:20:18.386-06:002010-08-09T10:20:18.386-06:00Nice. I actually enjoyed it once I got the hang of it. It made logical sense.

The current layout had me completely baffled. 'anti-noob' is very subtle, actually. It made things very convoluted and difficult to understand. It took me an hour to figure out how to upgrade a package (yes, maybe I am noob for it). The point ultimately is that it should be made to be much leaner. I mean, hell, this would certainly be a hump for someone should they switch over from Windoze. Adding on the complexity of 11.3's Package manager just put another layer of fear for the user.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31633408.post-78059703397515402432010-08-08T19:26:25.975-06:002010-08-08T19:26:25.975-06:00It will at least look neater. The current YaST is ...It will at least look neater. The current YaST is actually quite depressingly "anti-noob" especially the Package Manager. I find Synaptic to be quite noob friendly and is one of the things I miss the most from my Ubuntu days.msian_tux_loverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10399097456988963854noreply@blogger.com
